The real artisan roasters will design a blend that will be a great in every style of drink and will taste great in your cafe, office or home – no matter how bad the barista might be.
But designing a coffee blend can be extremely tedious and treacherous for most roasters. There are a lot of hours spent combining different single origin coffee beans together to make sure that all the flavours are present and given enough room to flourish. Some coffee beans are fantastic on their own but as soon as you blend them you lose all the sensational elements and become neutralised by the other beans.
