If you consider yourself a coffee connoisseur you'll know all about Panama Geisha Coffee Beans. If you haven't heard of them, we're about to school you on why these beans are the best, most sought-after beans in the world.
These very special beans are grown high up in the mountains of Talamanca Mountain Range in Candela, Santa Clara in Panama, though they aren't native to Panama. These Geisha beans originated in Ethiopia, travelled to Kenya and finally to Panama, which is their only home nowadays. Talk about well-travelled! They are very delicate and require specific conditions to grow with 500masl being the premium location. Only a few farms can successfully grow these rare coffee beans and the ones that do only reap a small number of beans from each tree, which accounts for the price tag!
And are they worth the price tag? We think so. The Panama Geisha Coffee beans we are currently stocking on the site provide upfront tastes of lemon and tropical fruits, followed by light hints of jasmine and a honeysuckle blossom finish. They are simply divine, and a must-try at least once in your life!
Although we must warn you, DON'T PUT THESE BEANS IN YOU ESPRESSO MACHINE!
They are meant for filter brewing only, as the intense pressure from an espresso machine will destroy the delicate and floral flavours.
Nor should you ever consider milk with these beans, that's like putting a $23k 1972 Macallan Fine Scotch with coke. It's just a waste!

"Hey guys, we've got something pretty special here today. We are going to drink some Panama Geisha coffee. I'm Ryd from Coffee Beans Delivered, and I'm gonna show you the recipe, and if you like, you can purchase some, and sample some of the best, most sought after coffee in the world. What is Panama Geisha coffee? Panama Geisha came from the original varietal, which is Geisha. From a little village in Ethiopia called Geisha. And it was lost and many, and many years later, it was actually rediscovered in Panama. But much higher up the mountain. The coffee cups at such an exceptional flavour, and an exquisite taste, now making it the most sought after coffee in the world. So we're gonna show you our recipe that we use, that you can try at home, anyone can make. You have a little pour over, or a plunge of coffee, you can make this as well. Firstly, you'll notice that, the coffee colour is a lot lighter. This is because we do a lighter roast, specifically for filter. Here's some of the coffee that we would roast for espresso normally. It's a little bit darker and you can see here, that this is lighter. What this means is that it's gonna have more of a fruitier flavour coming through.Firstly, we wanna start off with about 18 grams of coffee. Now if you don't have a set of scales, it's roughly about an ice cream scoops worth. Grind it on a pretty medium grind. You wanna wet this paper. We pour the coffee grinds in. Now we wanna add some water, but not boiling water. We want it to be a little bit under boiling. So 93 degrees, if you have a machine that can accurately do water temperature. If not, get a cold jug, pour the boiling water from the cold jug into it. We want about 250 mils. That way, the cold jug will actually drop the temperature of the water down. And if you let it sit for a couple of seconds, it will then be ready to pour in and start extracting. Now we have the right temperature water to start our brew process. We wanna give just a small amount, just to get the blooming. What this does is oxidize the coffee grinds, and that allows the richer flavours to come through. We let that just saturate the coffee. And when it's gone through, when you've seen that some of the water's come through. Then we start adding the rest of the water. We wanna add a little bit, maybe about half the water, in an even amount, so that it stirs up and activates the oxidation process. We let that steep for about 1-2 minutes. We're just gonna add the last of the water now. And when that's come through, then we're ready to drink. Okay, now we're ready to sample it. Look at the beautiful colours there. Just like a tea. It smells like flowers, Jasmine flowers. A bit lemony. Ahh that just tastes amazing. This is why this coffee is so expensive. It's not a gimmick, it's not passed through a civet. This is, actually, exceptional coffee. I can taste things like apricot jams in there. And it's so light. If you're keen to try some, we have a limited amount of stock available.
